Nicolas Cage has paid off almost half of an enormous tax bill, dating back to 2002.
The actor owed around $13million in federal income-based payments but has now cleared off a huge chunk of the debts.
He recently gave $6,257,005 to the government, according to official documents obtained by TMZ, which show a receipt signed in Oakland, California on February 15.
