Socialite Tamara Ecclestone is a home-loving girl, and so she should be, when that home contains 57 rooms, is worth an estimated £70 million, and stands on the most expensive street in London.

Tamara, the eldest daughter of Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone, has lived in the house with her husband, Jay Rutland, and their five-month-old daughter, Sophia, for a year.

The incredible house - built in the early 1900s - has four storeys above ground and two below and its value has almost doubled since the two-year renovation project she masterminded with London-born but Los Angeles-based designer Gavin Brodin was finished in 2013.

* Anger among soldiers who regard the property as part of their history
* Nepal pay a nominal £1,000 a year rent for the 32,000square foot property

The Nepalese embassy on one of London's most exclusive streets could be sold for more than £100million - sparking anger among Gurkhas.

The exclusive property is situated in Kensington Palace Gardens in west London which is one of the world's most exclusive roads with homes rarely coming onto the open market.

The potential sale has sparked anger among the Nepalese in the UK and abroad, because of the close links between Britain and Nepal.

If the property is put up for sale, it is bound to spark interest from some of the world's richest people.

London Real Estate, A Magnet For Mega-Rich From Around The Globe -- NPR

Looking for a London pied-a-terre? How about a four-bedroom duplex overlooking Hyde Park? It could be yours, if you're prepared to spend $25 million.

In most of the United Kingdom, property prices are slumping. But in some of London's most upscale neighborhoods, they're going crazy.

Robin Perona sweeps the sidewalk at Egerton Crescent, a gracious semicircle of white townhouses in fashionable Chelsea.

In the 1990s, they cost about $700,000 each. Today the average price is some $13 million — or 8 million British pounds. Perona shakes his head when told he's sweeping Britain's most expensive street.

My Comment: $221 million for a condo at One Hyde Park .... that's nuts.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea Puts Up The Gordon House For Sale

Premier league: the sale of Gordon House for £75m will elevate the 19th century building into the London property elite

The Royal Hospital Chelsea Up For Sale -- The Telegraph

Gordon House, which is being sold by The Royal Hospital Chelsea, will be one of the most expensive homes in London. Luckily, it’s for a good cause.

When central London properties change hands for vast sums of money, the people who profit are rarely the frail and the deserving. But when Gordon House, in Chelsea, finds a buyer, those are precisely the people who will benefit, for generations to come.

This little-known 19th-century residence has never been on the market, but it stands in two acres of the most expensive land in the world. It is within the grounds of the Royal Hospital, home for more than three centuries to the crimson-coated Chelsea Pensioners.

My Comment: A so-so place .... but the price tag is all about location, location, location. A photo gallery of the Royal Hospital Chelsea can be viewed here.
